This qualification prepares learners for employment in the Hospitality and Catering sector. Skills are developed in professional cookery and the food and beverage service in a realistic working environment. Contents include: Food Preparation and cookery skills Food and drinks service Food safety Work placement which is planned and prepared by the Hospitality and Catering team Nationally recognised Functional Skills qualification Learners will be expected to undertake work experience within the Catering industry. There are also visits to establishments in the industry, talks from guest speakers, as well as opportunities to enter competitions.
