Students completing this course will have a thorough understanding of drama and theatre, highly developed analytical and creative skills and an ability to communicate effectively with others. The course is very practical with the expectation students will perform in front of an audience. Students must be committed to working hard in small groups, with after school rehearsals required at critical examination times. Building on AS level, students create of a unique and original piece of theatre and the exam requires the detailed study of one set play text and one prescribed historical period of theatrical development.
