Skills for Life ESOL (Writing) Level 1 Certificate

This course is a 10 week course offering 2 lessons of 2 hours 45 minutes per week of English Writing tuition for Speakers of Other Languages. It is suitable for students who have passed the Entry Level 3 ESOL qualifications or who are assessed at Intermediate level: B2 on CEFR (Common European Framework). You will do a diagnostic test and complete a needs analysis to enable the teacher to address your particular needs at the beginning of the course.

At the end of the course, you will take an ESOL Level 1 Writing exam. This qualification is equivalent to B2 on the CEFR scale. Entry requirements

You are expected to attend lessons regularly to ensure success on this course.  Exam fees are included in the course fee. If you fail your exam you will be able to retake the exam free of charge. An additional weekly workshop (2 hours and 45 minutes) will be available for an extra charge for those students needing more support for individual needs.There will be no classes on Bank holidays or on staff development days.
