This course is ideal if you would like to develop a career in working with adults in health and social care settings and need a starting point. Learn how to help health and social care professionals in supporting adults with complex needs and how to maintain a safe and interesting environment. As this course requires a good level of English, you will undertake an assessment during the first class to confirm your place. After successfully completing this course, you can progress on to the Health & Social Care Level 2 Diploma for which you will need to have recently completed a minimum of 140 hours of voluntary work in a health and social care setting, and then maintain a minimum of 14 hours a week during the course. Alternatively, if you are not ready for this, you could enrol on to the Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care course, which covers the majority of the knowledge from the mandatory units of the Health and Social Care Level 2 Diploma.
