You will undertake 18 units over two years, some of which are listed below: • Client care and communications • Monitor health and safety in the salon • Workplace practices and procedures • Promote and sell services to clients • Provide facial skincare and facial electrotherapy • Provide manicure and pedicure treatments • Remove hair using waxing techniques • Apply and maintain nail enhancements • Body massage and body electrotherapy • Provide eye treatments • Aromatherapy • Applying make up • Applying make up for performers • Tanning All units will be discussed at interview and on taster days. English and Maths English and maths qualifications are a requirement for most jobs and it is important that you are able to demonstrate your ability in these areas. If you do not already have a grade C or above in GCSE English and maths you will automatically undertake further study in these subjects as part of your study programme. Employment in the beauty therapy sector e.g. spa, salon, cruise ship, lecturer etc. NVQ in Hairdressing or progression to higher education.If you’re planning to study a Level 3 or Level 4 course, you may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. These loans help you to pay the fees charged by approved colleges and training organisations in England.
