This course is for those interested in an introduction to care and caring for children and who would like to take the first step into a career within the childcare or care industry. This course is perfect for those who might not have much experience in the area and will provide you with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the underpinning principles of care. Students will also be expected to complete a work placement as part of their qualification (subject to a criminal background check). Maths and English will be at the core of your study programme.
