Ideal if: you love film and TV and are interested in the media; this course will take you behind the scenes and introduce you to employment practices in the industry. It also provides an excellent base to go on to more advanced study in this field. You'll need: four or more GCSEs at grade G or above, including English and mathematics. You'll learn: through a combination of written assignments and practical projects; you'll learnto use video cameras and editing software, investigate computer games, create advertisements for print and TV, and develop your writing skills for newspaper and magazine journalism. Expect: lots of variety, guest lecturers and subject specialist teaching. You'll love: producing your own video, animation and TV projects. You'll go onto: further studies at level 3 such as our Media Production BTEC Extended Diploma, or Creative Media Production (Animation for Film and Games) BTEC Extended Diploma.
