What is this course about? “How can people think so differently from me?’‘ “Why do people behave differently to me?” If these are questions you ask yourself then Psychology is the subject for you! Psychology investigates behaviour and experience, with the aim of trying to explain and predict behaviour. The course is designed for individuals with no previous experience of the subject, and is aimed at people with a desire to learn and an enthusiasm for Psychology. What will I learn? Psychology is a very academic subject and will require development of critical thinking skills. This will involve carefully thinking about the issues that are raised. For example, being able to spot flaws in the way researchers have conducted their experiments or be able to think about practical applications that have arisen from the research studied At A2 you will investigate in depth issues and debates, and also study core areas of Psychology such as, Relationships, Schizophrenia and Forensic Psychology.
