This course combines tuition in basic techniques for beginners with more challenging projects for students with experience. We will learn about: slabbing, coiling, thumb pots, sculptural techniques, mould making and throwing. You will need to pay for the clay that you use in the session (this is on the weight of the item made) A3 and A4 sketchpads are available to buy at the college. You may also choose to buy your own tools and specialised glazes as your work develops. There is an option to register for an NCFE qualification. Your tutor will discuss the details with you at the start of the course and if you choose this route you will be enrolled onto the qualification. There will be extra costs to take the qualification.
