During this course we will use drawing and printmaking techniques to explore the shape and textures of garments. At least one session will include working directly from a dressed model to reflect the mood of, for example the 1940's. We will look at costumes from institutional collections, (hopefully Nottingham Castle) and garments from vintage or car boot finds. These drawings can then be used as a design inspiration for fine art prints, textile or costume design, or as artistic statement.
