GCSE in Biology

The health of the human body depends upon the health of its individual parts. The human body is composed of systems of organs which, in turn, are composed of tissues with a wide variety of cells. Physiology describes the functions of the cells, tissues and organs. Candidates will learn about some of the science used by health professionals working in health and medical care. In particular, candidates will also learn about the contributions of scientists who have made significant breakthroughs in medicine.
