Who is suitable An introduction for beginners to make pots on the electric wheel. This course is suitable for beginners to wheel throwing. Open Studios Every year Norfolk Adult Education Service (NAES) takes part in the Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios event that takes place around the late May Bank holiday period for 16 days. NAES hold their event at Wensum Lodge where we put on an exhibition to celebrate the wide variety work being produced by both learners and tutors and their diverse backgrounds. As an event this is an opportunity for learners to have their first taste of exhibiting and selling their work. For others it is an opportunity just to exhibit and enjoy public opinion. Over the years that NAES has taken part a large amount of art has been sold (commission free). In some cases those learners have been genuinely surprised because they only entered to support NAES but didnt believe their work was good enough to sell. As a rule around March time we will be inviting all learners (regardless of level or ability) to enter. If you would like more information about exhibiting your work at Wensum Lodge during Open Studios please contact Mick Nunn at Mick.NunnNorfolk.gov.uk . You will learn how to centre clay on the electric pottery wheel to make cylinders and bowls. You will also learn how to make and apply handles.(J124NC14E)
