We live in a colourful and decorated environment. This course gives you the opportunity to explore colour, pattern and texture through printed, dyed and constructed textiles. This course is Art Textiles without fashion. Practical projects involve recording from direct experience, developing ideas, making connections with the work of others, experimenting with materials and techniques, and focused planning for textile outcomes. All of the projects encourage an individual and creative response. At A2, students produce a personal investigation, with a related personal study and have a 15 hour test under exam conditions. Students are required to participate in museum/gallery visits and any site visits related to practical work.
