This course is designed to meet the needs of candidates who work or want to work in job roles such as accounts assistants, accounts clerks or private practice accountants. At level 1 the aim is to enable learners to carry out routine accounting tasks using a computerised accounts package. You will need to have some knowledge of business processes before you start this course. If you have no business or accounting experience then we strongly recommend that you take the Level 1 award in Book-keeping (see leaflet 56). You may do both courses on the same day starting in September or you may prefer to start the book-keeping course in September and then take up Computerised accounts in January.
