IT User Skills Award

The course forms the IT element of the PERSONAL ASSISTANT level 3 programme and is designed to recognise the skills, knowledge and understanding of the use of IT in the work place. This course will lead to a qualification that will equip you with the basic range of transferable skills necessary for the modern workplace, and for progression onto further IT or administration courses. The qualification is made up of three units that include on-line documentation and presentation and electronic communications. Integrated e-Document Production - successful completion of the unit will give you skills in setting up passwords, creating mail merges, archiving files and finally incorporating different types of files into Microsoft Word application. e-Presentation - this focuses on developing skills in Microsoft PowerPoint skills by creating, formatting and animating presentations. Electronic Communications - this will enable skills to be developed through creating notes, arranging a business meeting, creating contacts and distribution lists.
