The Level 3 Diploma is equivalent to three A levels. It offers practical experience and is recognised within a wide range of health and social care work settings. The course is suitable if you want to work in the health and social care sector or progress on to further training in nursing, social work, paramedic, occupational therapy, health related professions, chiropody or degree level study. Some of the subject areas you will study include communication, equality, diversity and rights, children and young people, complementary therapies, human anatomy and physiology, psychology, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, personal and professional development, public health, counselling, sociology, challenging behaviour and vocational experience. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of client groups in health, education and care settings through your work placements. You will also take a Functional Skills qualification.
