Diploma in Painting and Decorating level 3

The course is designed specifically to prepare you for the decorating industry. The course has been developed to teach you key skills in a training environment that accurately simulates real life working conditions. The tests throughout the course are based on you demonstrating the painting and decorating skills you have learned throughout the course. The course will develop the skills you learned on the level 1 course to a higher level. You'll learn more complicated painting and decorating skills that will leave you qualified to progress into the workplace or onto the level 3 qualification. The course also offers you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with local construction companies. Units covered include: Knowledge of information, quantities and communicating with others, Knowledge of building methods and construction technology, Erect and dismantle access and working platforms, Preparation of surfaces, Application of paint systems by brush and roller, Apply papers to walls and ceilings, Know how to produce specialist decorative finishes, Know how to apply water-borne paint systems using (HVLP) spray equipment.
