Do you love playing computer games, and want a career in one of the fastest growing, dynamic and entrepreneurial sectors in the creative industries? Have you ever played a game and thought you could do a better job of creating the 3D models/animations? Then this new course is for you. The full-time programme focuses on the creation of game content, level design, 3D animation and assets, and is coursework-based, meaning there are no exams. This is a challenging and fun course, which will enable you to develop your core artistic and technical skills. As a student on the programme, you will get the chance to not only play some of our games but more importantly learn how to build them. You will build up the practical expertise needed for jobs in games design, whether you want to be an animator, modeller or developer. Main modules include: Communication and Employability Skills for Information Technology; Computer Systems; Information Systems; Software Design and Development; E-commerce; event Driven Programming; Computer Animation; Computer Game Platforms and Technologies; and Multimedia Design. If you have not already gained a C grade for GCSE English and GCSE Mathematics, working towards this will form part of your programme of study.
