You will gain skills in a range of on-stage and back-stage roles. In additional to movement, acting and musical theatre you will explore technical roles such as lighting and set design as well as business skills required to run box office and promotion. Through this broad experience you will be able to choose a career pathway in either performance or production or a combination of the two at Level 3. There are two pathways you can choose from: Performing Arts and Backstage Production . With Backstage Production you will learn all aspects of planning and producing live events including: stage management, set design and construction, wardrobe, sound and lighting. You will work in a team to stage several productions throughout the year and learn how to use industry standard lighting, lighting design software and sound in the purpose built theatre. With Performing Arts you will gain skills in a range of on-stage and back-stage roles. In additional to movement, singing, acting and musical theatre you will explore technical roles such as lighting and set design as well as business skills required to run box office and promotion. Through this broad experience you will be able to choose a career pathway in either performance or production or a combination of the two at Level 3. Students are assessed through coursework and an online assessment. You have the opportunity to develop, create and produce an industry standard portfolio or a showcase of audition pieces ready for job interviews or further studies.
