If you would like to work with farm and livestock animals, understand animal biology, genetics, breed development and how to care for them, this is an ideal pathway for you. Together with animal management units you will also study farm livestock, estate skills and ecology through a mix of lectures, demonstrations and practical work. This tailored pathway provides you with additional knowledge and qualifications to gain employment or undertake further study within the animal industry or start to specialise in further learning about agriculture or countryside management. This course forms the first year of the two year Level 3 Extended Diploma. Successfully completing the 90 Credit Diploma will allow you to fast track directly into the second year of the Level 3 Extended Diploma and complete a higher qualification.
