The RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is for anyone wishing to gain an essential understanding of food safety as it relates to food preparation and handling. Any person who may handle food or who works with equipment likely to come into contact with foodstuffs for human consumption. This qualification provides up to date food safety knowledge for anyone already working in a food preparation or handling role, or who may be starting a new job in the sector. The Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene encourages the candidate to be aware of food hazards, critical control points and counter measures when preparing food.
