This is an advanced level course covering many aspects of Complementary Therapies, which will provide a deep understanding and knowledge of this discipline. Practical skills will be developed to a high standard to allow employment in the Complementary Therapies Industry and provide opportunities to work in the Health Care Sector as well as progression to Higher Education. The wide range of areas you will study are: Advanced aromatherapy; Advanced reflexology techniques; Advanced massage techniques (Hot/cold stone massage; Indian head massage; Paraffin wax treatments); Thermal auricular therapy; Crystal and colour therapy; Relaxation and meditation techniques; Healthy eating for therapy clients; Reflective practice; Anatomy and physiology; Business practice for complementary therapies; Case studies etc. You will also be given the opportunity to study and gain a Functional Skills qualification in either Maths, English or ICT at the appropriate level.
