Foundation Degree in Applied Studies (Early Childhood and Learning Support Pathways)

This Foundation Degree is intended for adults working, volunteering or leading practice in early childhood settings such as nurseries, pre-schools, nannies, child-minders, family support workers or in Children's Centres with children (0-8 years old). The work-based degree is a combination of practice-based learning and college-based sessions which run once a week, so that you are able to continue in employment throughout the course. The degree is designed to improve and develop students' personal and professional communication skills, allows you to professionalise your approach and further your personal growth. The course and pathway for Early Childhood supports those students working to achieve the Early Years Teacher Status (formally Early Years Professional Status).
