Leadership, Fitness and Team Building for the Public Services (February)

This course is designed to provide a vocational taster highlighting the discipline, leadership, team work and fitness required for the Public Services. Coaches will train and instruct you, developing your leadership skills over six weeks. They will challenge you with fitness sessions and team building tasks designed to improve your team work, communication and problem solving. Each week you will advance to a more challenging aspect of the course, building your confidence to communicate with and lead effective teams to complete tasks efficiently. Self-discipline and motivation will be a key aspect of the programme.

Name: Leadership, Fitness and Team Building for the Public Services (February) Qualification title: Non regulated provision, Level 2, Public Services Qualification type: Assessment You will be assessed on your individual performance over the six weeks. This may result in you achieving specific awards such as the Day Certificate in Sports Leadership or even National Governing Body Leadership Awards. You should be aware that your performance over the six weeks will be noted when it comes to applying for full-time courses at the College, so your attendance, punctuality, work rate and behaviour will all be reviewed. Entry requirements

You should have suitable clothing to carry out and take part in practical sessions in both indoor and outdoor settings. It is advised that you have old clothes for outdoor sessions and a waterproof if possible - and you should expect them to get muddy! The College will provide waterproofs where necessary, but will not supply them for all activities. You will be eligible for discounted gym membership at our Roundhouse Johnson Building and Broomfield Hall fitness centres.
