This is an active learning pathway if you are looking for an introduction to studying Public Services. You are expected to maintain a high level of discipline, attendance and time keeping to succeed on the programme and prepare for a career in demanding but rewarding Public Service roles.

Name: Introductory - Certificate in Public Services Qualification title: BTEC First Certificate in Public Services Qualification type: Assessment Assessment methods will vary. You are expected to build a portfolio of evidence for each unit. Assessments will include presentations, essays, workbooks, discussions, practical performance, viva, physical testing and externally set exam assessments. You will need to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks throughout the year. Entry requirements

You are expected to purchase a uniform to wear at College and for practical sessions. Kit costs vary depending on the items purchased and the cost is non-refundable once the order has been placed. You are also asked to contribute towards the end-of-year celebration event and initial team building day. Total costs are approximately 130. There may be additional events during the year to which you may be expected to contribute. Financial assistance is available, depending on your circumstances.
