This 'History - The Home Front - Britain 1914-1918' course in Maidstone provides an opportunity to explore life in Britain on the 'Home Front'. Individuals' wartime experiences shall be linked to broader social changes during this tumultuous period of British history. Learners shall have an opportunity to conduct their own research and to share findings with the group and possibly others., , This course will enable learners to:, • Define the term 'Home Front' in relation to WWI, • Describe the wartime experiences of a range of individuals and groups on the Home Front, • Discuss how these experiences related to broader social changes during the period, • Identify and explain ways in which the Home Front contributed to the British war effort and affected the course of the war, • Present to the group the findings of some aspect of personal research that they have undertaken
