Available as an NVQ Level 2 and Apprenticeship, our IT Application Specialist qualification is aimed at anyone who regularly uses IT in their job. The NVQ Level 2 and Apprenticeship are both designed to encourage new learning and to assess workplace competence in applying IT skills relevant to your job role. In the modern world, no two jobs need exactly the same IT skills. The IT programme is therefore designed to allow a great deal of flexibility in terms of what learners choose to do, and how they are assessed. An Apprenticeship will cover additional elements such as functional skills and employment rights and responsibilities.

Learning will take place during visits to your workplace by an Ingeus Training Advisor. Throughout your learning you will build up an portfolio (online where appropriate) in support of your qualification. During your Training Advisor's visits to your workplace you will be observed carrying out your day to day tasks. Your duties and responsibilities will also be discussed and you will be given full guidance and support to enable you to complete the qualification. Visits also provide an opportunity to feedback details of your progress to your employer. Your portfolio will be reviewed and assessed on an ongoing basis.
