Illustrator is the leading software for creating vector graphics - the clean, sharp, flat-colour artwork often seen on the internet and in print. This program enables you to produce flowing line art using a mouse, easily editing and refining it at any time. Illustrator also has great potential for other creative styles of artwork - eg a large range of brushes for painting, symbols for spraying etc This course is aimed specifically at those who have completed the Illustrator CS6 - Introduction course or who have equivalent experience. Building on your ability to navigate the Illustrator interface, select and align objects, and make basic use of the pen tool, we will move on to more advanced techniques.Topics covered include: - Transforming objects (reflecting, rotating, shearing etc.) - The pencil tool - Advanced use of paths - Creating and applying patterns - Working with type (formatting, threading, text on a path) - Using brushes and symbols - Creating more advanced illustrations
