BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATE DRESSMAKING SKILLS

This course is for beginners and for those with some experience. It aims to cover a broad range of dress making topics to match the ability of the learner. By the end of the course learners will be able to: ? Set up and use a sewing machine with confidence ? Undertake a number of basic sewing techniques (e.g. seams hems and fastenings) garment features (e.g. necklines sleeves and pockets) ? Use a commercial pattern information contained in the pattern envelope sizing taking and checking own measurements altering the pattern preparing the fabric and cutting out.
