Try something new with our one day courses. Day 1 - Wednesday 15th th July 2015 - 10.00-3.00 pm drawing and painting the portrait from photographs or mirror at Coulsdon room 6/7. Day 2 - Thursday 16th th July 2015 Meet at National Gallery Sainsburys Wing - tailor made tour + National Portrait Gallery BP Award. Day 3 - Friday 17th July 2015 10.00 - 3.00 pm Portrait Workshop at Coulsdon room 6/7 workshop, using a variety of drawing media, mixed media, watercolour or acrylics paint your own portraits. 1. Develop observational and practical skills in portraiture. 2. On day 2 Visit National Gallery London and National Portrait Gallery and take part in an interactive presentation by tutor and a NG educator. 3. Using water based media either acrylic or watercolour and learning techniques in painting wet on wet, , wash, glazing etc. in portraiture 4. Explore variety of subject matter working in Portraiture. 5. Develop understanding of basic elements in painting e.g. colour, tone, texture, pattern, form etc. 6. Use the internet to explore and develop knowledge about other artists work and as seen at the NG.
