ECDL Version 5 is designed to give a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of computer use for candidates wishing to gain a Level 2 qualification. It also provides a basis for those intending to go onto specialised or more advanced studies. The qualification is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT.
Name: ECDL Essentials & Extra (ITQ Level 2) Qualification title: ECDL Essentials & Extra (ITQ Level 2) Qualification type: Assessment By achieving Modules 1, 2 and 7 only, candidates will be awarded ECDL Essentials Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (ECDL Level 1). By achieving Modules 3, 4, 6 and 8 candidates will be awarded ECDL Extra Level 2 Certificate for IT Users (ECDL Level 2). An ECDL certificate will also be awarded at the end of the course. Candidates achieving ECDL Essentials will also receive an ITQ Level 1 Certificate. Candidates achieving ECDL Extra will also receive an ITQ Full Level 2 Certificate.
