Who is this course for? This course is for Manchester residents with low level literacy skills who need to improve their English Skills to function in every day life, gain employment and/or enter vocal training/education What will I learn on this course? You will improve your reading and writing. You will learn to write simple notes and messages, learn to write your address, learn some common and personal spellings you need for everyday life and work; read and understand simple forms, notes and messages, adverts (including adverts for jobs) etc. How will I learn? You will learn mostly with your group but you will have the opportunity for working in pairs and working on your own. You will attend one session per week. What qualifications will I gain? Entry 2 and or Entry 3 Functional Skills and OCR Progression qualifications. You will be given the opportunity to achieve one unit at a time, at the level appropriate for you. Can I join anytime? You can join the courses throughout the year, subject to available places
