The Level 2 Certificate in Women’s Hairdressing programme aims to provide adult learners with an opportunity to understand the basic principles of Hairdressing by completing: Working in the hair industry Health & Safety Client consultation Shampoo & Conditioning Cut Women's The Art of Dressing Hair Optional Units include: Salon Reception Duties Promote products and services to clients in a salon Colour and lighten hair Learners may be required to complete Functional Skills Maths or English if they do not have GCSE grade C and above in Maths and English. This course is designed to develop the skills required to enable learners progress to employment in a Hairdressing salon, start their own business, prepare candidates for apprenticeship or Level 3 in Women's Hairdressing programme. Learners will attend college two days a week for 6 months and achieve a VRQ Level 2 Certificate in Women's Hairdressing.
