The course comprises of five units: • Advanced Internal Combustion Engine Technology • Advanced Vehicle Drive Line and Chassis Technology • Alternative Fuel Vehicle • Providing Technical Support and Advice to Colleagues in the Motor Industry • Fundamental Management Principles in the Motor Industry The three technology units are assessed by written assignments of about 2000-2500 words, while the two management units have smaller assignments but also have an on-line computer examination with a 60% and 70% pass mark. The technology units will be completed with a mixture of practical work and demonstrations in our workshop and theory lessons within a classroom. The management units will be completed by formal lectures and role play. Candidates will be expected to provide technical support and advice to level two students during a practical session.
