Physics seeks to explain “how things work”, at all levels from the subatomic to the cosmological. It is a fundamental and universal science, and is entirely democratic: everything and everyone has to abide by its laws. Physics has no gender-bias: many distinguished and successful physicists working today are women. Physics includes analysing and solving problems, constructing analogies and models, thinking critically and communicating clearly.
