Retail is an exciting career option due to its varied and customer based content. Retail is an excellent option for those learners that like dealing with the general public and like to work as a team. Retail keeps up with the current trends and market whilst offering a diverse skill set. This course provides an overview of training and work experience. Retail can also develop any entrepreneur opportunities for anyone that has aspirations to run their own retail outlet. What will you be learning? The qualification allows learners starting out in the industry to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the retail industry. Units in the qualification cover all areas of working in retail including aspects of: sales working with people customer support displays health and safety cash handling processing goods. In addition you will work on your English & Maths and have an opportunity to undertake a sustained period of work experience with a variety of employers and providers across the city. You will also be offered a number of additional courses that aim to support and prepare you for the future and your progress to employment and further learning. Our occupationally experienced tutors will support you through the course and help you develop your skills and experience within the sector.

The evidence is collected through practical activities and assignments. An extended period of work experience will be available throughout the learning to build confidence of working in a real work environment.
