This short 20 week voluntary programme, is delivered by Train’d Up, a leading national training provider delivering Apprenticeships and Traineeships. The programme currently available to young people aged 16-18 years, who live within the Manchester City Council area. Priority will be given to local applicants from the districts of Moss Side and Whalley Range due to their close proximity to Alexandra Park. Learners will be trained in a range of land-based activities, including sports turf maintenance, play equipment maintenance, planting and pesticide control. Those who successfully complete their Traineeship training, will be considered for any available Apprenticeships or jobs within Manchester City Council, and their suppliers (external Landscape Contractors). Learners will be based at Alexandra Park (Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 4.30pm).
