Adult Social Care is a fast growing and diverse sector. It offers a large range of rewarding and challenging careers, with many different job roles available and lots of opportunities for progression. The sector currently employs around 1.5 million people in all sorts of roles and by 2025 it is estimated that another 1 million workers will be needed to meet England's growing social care demands. Whether individuals are new to the sector or might be thinking that adult social care could be the right career for them, this course will give them the opportunity to find out more about working in the sector and an opportunity to think about what type of role and what area of adult social care they might like to work in. The individuals, families and communities that engage with adult social care on a daily basis are growing and diverse, which means that a growing and diverse workforce is needed to be able to meet their needs.
