The new suite of assessor qualifications replace the old A1 assessor award. The new suite is flexible and enables the learner to take the units required depending upon their assessor role. The units are detailed below along with guidance about the units that you would need for your individual role. Name: Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement Level 3 Award Qualification title: Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment This qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment). It includes the following assessment methods (although not all of these require performance evidence): - assessments of the learner in simulated environments - skills tests - oral and written questions - assignments - projects - case studies - recognising prior learning You will be required to present a portfolio of work based evidence that will be generated by a combination of methods that could include observations, work products, witness testimonies, personal statements, discussions and questioning and the accreditation of prior achievement.
