Available for those aged 16 or over, this is a great opportunity to earn as you learn. You will combine work in food manufacturing or development with additional training in the workplace delivered by Reaseheath tutors. You will study one of the following pathways depending on your area of work: dairy, meat and poultry, food industry, baking or food manufacture excellence. In addition to gaining your apprenticeship you will develop important industry skills and study for additional qualifications such as health and safety and food safety certificates. Before you start we will agree which is the right pathway for you, based on your experience, any certificates you may have (e.g. GCSEs), your job role and an assessment. As an Apprentice you will be involved in a range of topics and in addition to gaining your Work-based Diploma (formerly NVQ) Level 2 in Food and Drink and Functional Skills, you will gain industrial skills in the workplace and certificates in First Aid, Level 2 Health and Safety and Level 2 Food Safety. Plus ERR (Employer Rights and Responsibilities) and PTLS (Personal Thinking and Learning Skills) certificates.
