Who is it for? The Level 2 Diploma in Playwork is aimed at staff working directly with children and young people in a setting whose main purpose is to provide them with opportunities for freely chosen, self-directed play. These staff do not have full responsibility for the play environment but make a significant contribution to supporting play. What is the structure? You must achieve 61 credits from 12 mandatory units and a further 16 from the optional units. Some of the mandatory units are: - Playwork Principles - The play environment - Supporting Children and Young People’s play - Relationships in the play environment Where will it take me? You can take additional optional units as professional development or progress to a Level 3 Diploma.
