You must be employed in a full-time Management position. Your personal Training Advisor will visit you at least once a month in your workplace or you can choose to complete this on-line via e-portfolio. This qualification will help you to prepare for your first job in management – develop a portfolio of core skills and learn techniques to get the best from your teams. It also supports practising first-line managers to further develop knowledge and skills and boost career prospects. There are three mandatory units to be completed:- Manage own professional development within an organisation; Set objectives and provide support for team members; Plan, allocate and monitor work of the team then there is a wide selection of optional units to select that are personalised to your position. There is also a Technical Certificate Examination and Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT at Level 2 to complete (but you may have exemptions).
