CL16 First Steps Maths

UPDATED 20160609 10:27:10

You can join these relaxed, friendly courses at the start of each term. They are for learners who do not already have GCSEs in maths and English at any grade, or who want to build their confidence in the use of day-to-day maths and English. Your tutor will help you to get the basics right to give you more confidence in using everyday maths and English, and if you want to, to move on to a qualification course. Learners re-enrol each term. All courses will have an induction session 1 week prior to the start date, in order to assess the suitability of the courses for all learners, allow you to meet the tutors, complete any forms and ask any questions you may have. There is no charge for the induction session. This is shown as ‘+1’ in the ‘weeks’ column. You will need to attend this session in order to discuss what you want from the course with the tutor, and to establish a plan for your learning. There will also be an opportunity to ask for any extra support you may need, discuss progression opportu-nities or ask for advice and guidance.
