Apprenticeship in Upholstery

As an Apprentice upholsterer you will be employed in an industry which offers training in a variety of skills and methods which are essential to the manufacture of domestic and commercial furniture. You will follow a comprehensive training programme enabling you to create items such as suites, sofa beds for the domestic market and/or office type seating, caravan seating, re-upholstering of pubs for the commercial market. The training on offer is varied and covers the use of tools and equipment, to enable you to carry out tasks such as 'pre-upholstery', the fixing of springs and webbing into the furniture frames etc. leading to the final covering.
