This course would suit you if you are interested in working in the farming industry and enjoy working outdoors, with farm animals, machinery and in construction. An Advanced Apprentice works at a supervisor level to plan daily work, monitor how work is carried out and evaluate the impact. The course can be taken as a livestock pathway, crops pathway or mixed farming and typical units include prepare, monitor and cultivate sites for planting crops,monitor and maintain harvesting operations, deliver basic treatments to livestock, maintain, monitor and evaluate the provision of feed and water to livestock. During the course you will also cover: •Employers rights and responsibilities workbook •Apprenticeship logbook ‘Agriculture' covers a wide range of activities and involves the undertaking of practical tasks. There is an expectation that learners will have a reasonable level of fitness.
