The City & Guilds ITQ is suitable for anybody who uses IT whether at home or work. The flexible structure and assessment methods of the ITQ mean that it can be adapted for a variety of courses in the classroom or almost any workplace or job role as part of an intended career. A Level 1 user can make use of predefined or commonly used IT tools for activities that are straightforward or routine, identifying and using automated methods or alternative ways of working to improve productivity. Any aspect that is unfamiliar will require support and advice from other people. ITQ is an established (and nationally recognised) qualification for people using computers at work. You can select units across a range of skill levels in just one qualification A City & Guilds ITQ offers you the ability to learn about specific software applications from design and imaging for use with digital photography through to word processing and website software to make the most of you and your business. ITQ is based on National Occupational Standards designed and developed with employers. The length of a course will depend on the units you decide to include. There are 3 sizes of qualification at level 1 to 3; • Award – from 60 to 90 hours depending on level Delivery can be designed to suit a learner’s particular requirements. Where the ITQ is taken at work the time needed to complete it will depend on the amount of training required and previous knowledge and experience.
