Our Music Business course is a great way to learn about the UK music industry and how to operate in it. The Level 2 course is for: For those wanting to get a general background to working in the UK music industry. Centred around gaining an insight into the recording and live sectors, with projects in areas such as event management and music journalism. Ideal for young people aged 16+ looking to work for businesses and organisations in the UK music industry, from record labels, venues and festivals to music magazines and retail. Based around real-world projects with opportunities to get involved in events, run labels and create ideas for digital businesses. Designed to give you more than music in that you will also gain valuable job skills and life skills. Linked to nationally-recognised music qualifications. Taught by music industry personnel at 8 UK locations and graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The course covers the UK recording industry, the UK live music industry, UK law and music organisations, event management, marketing and promotion and setting up a business. Delivery is focussed around business and enterprise projects with opportunities to work on enterprise projects and help organise college events in the local community.
