This course is intended for candidates who want to: take the next step in training to become a counsellor (having already acquired counselling skills); and learn more about counselling theory and agency work. Learners to be 19+ on the course starting date.
Name: Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills Qualification title: Certificate in Counselling Skills (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment A portfolio of work will be built up. Learners will be expected to write a weekly journal, two written assignments, two self-reviews, two observed Counselling skills practice sessions (one via DVD recording), one case presentation and complete one external assessment (watching a 20 minute DVD of a helping session, then completing a one hour candidate feedback paper in relation to the DVD). Learners will be expected to attend regularly and be prepared to carry out homework as requested by the tutor.
