Damar’s management and team leading apprenticeships have been created for those working in roles where they are responsible for planning and monitoring the work of staff and developing and maintaining the use of effective systems and processes. Examples of jobs that team leading and management apprentices either do or are working towards include: Senior administrator (Team leading intermediate) Retail store supervisor (Team leading intermediate) Hospital ward manager (Management advanced) Office manager (Management advanced) Regional retail store manager (Management higher) Head of Department (Management higher) Damar's team leading and management apprentices work in a wide range of sectors including: law, accountancy, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, property, media, manufacturing and distribution. The management advanced apprenticeship is is designed for those who have autonomy in their leadership role and will normally have the authority to plan and implement changes to processes and personnel.

Name: Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Management Qualification title: BTEC Diploma in Management (QCF) Qualification type: Apprenticeship Assessment What you learn will depend on your job. In all cases you will complete: A certificate or diploma This has two purposes. First, it will develop your knowledge and understanding of your area of work and the underpinning management theories that apply. Second it will ensure that you are applying your knowledge and understanding at work on a consistent and competent basis. You will be tested in a number of ways. More formal tests and written work will demonstrate your knowledge and understanding. You will demonstrate competence across all of the main areas of your job via a portfolio of evidence (which can take a variety of forms). You will work on your portfolio, in partnership with your trainer and manager, over the duration of your apprenticeship. At the end of the apprenticeship your work will be independently marked by the awarding body for your qualification. Functional skills in English, maths and IT (not required for the higher apprenticeship). Unlike academic exams, these are designed to ensure that you have the skills in maths, English and IT that you need at work.
