Award In Food Safety

UPDATED 20120417 04:13:40

Everyone involved in food production and delivery, from manufacturers and retailers to caterers, has a moral and legal duty to know the principles and practices of food safety. Overall, it enables employees to take responsibility for following food safety procedures, keeping themselves clean and hygienic, receiving and storing food safely and preparing, cooking and holding food safely. This qualification replaces the Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene. This is a necessary qualification for anyone working in a catering or hospitality setting where food is prepared, cooked and served. This would include pubs, hotels and restaurants, contract catering, hospitals, schools and prisons.
